I've always been curious as to where my package travels to when it's in the courier's possession, and since map APIs are so well rounded now I decided I should just write up an application to do just that.

parcelplotr.com

At the moment it is very beta, but it does work and supports FedEx tracking numbers. If you want to try it out you can use:

FedEx: 481404010034023
FedEx: 947046906133

I'm going to add more couriers in the future, but I need tracking numbers to test with. So if you have any packages coming your way that aren't FedEx, please, send them to me so I can add more couriers to the service. The goal here is to have one central location to track your packages, regardless of who's carrying it.

Be sure to send me your bugs! Thu, 5 Jun 2008 13:25:26 -0700 How To Lose a Customer http://www.ccorpsoft.com/index.php?nav=news&article=article1212611491&offset=0 http://www.ccorpsoft.com/index.php?nav=news&article=article1212611491&offset=0 I had to switch hosts today, it is not a fun process. I've been working on a new project for the past couple of weekends and just got it into a workable state, so naturally I want to test it live on the web-- the only issue is my (old) webhost, Sunwave was running PHP4 and my code was in PHP5. On Sunday I put in a request to get it moved to PHP5, I was told that "someone was on the job". For the next couple of days the status remained "someone is on the job" whenever I would inquire about it. Fast forward to today and I'm no longer a customer. The headers of the server showed "PHP 4.4.7", I was told "someone was on the job" for numerous days.. why in the world would I even begin to think that PHP5 was also on the server?

What aggrivates me more is that whenever I did a website for a client I would suggest the hosting company to them. During this whole thing I found an interesting domain: google.vc. It has that OSX toolbar that one of the Google engineers released a while ago but was short lived because Apple complaind (IIRC). I don't think the domain is owned by Google though, regardless its still an interesting collection of Google stuff.

Ok on to the results, just to clarify they are organized alphabetically with the .co.xx TLDs at the end... I also included domains where Google wasn't the owner just for the hell of it.

Thu, 19 Oct 2006 17:56:12 -0700 Chernobyl Legacy http://www.ccorpsoft.com/index.php?nav=news&article=article1154618046&offset=0 http://www.ccorpsoft.com/index.php?nav=news&article=article1154618046&offset=0 I came across this audio/photo essay yesterday about Chernobyl and the aftermath twenty years later.
